The latest news this week was Zimbabwe's president Robert Mugabe telling the western countries to "go and hang" that means go and hang them self. He sayd this because many western countries have condemned that Mugabe beat up many people of the opposition for his regime. That got me thinking. Mugabe was one day a symbol for revolution in Africa, but know 20 years after his coup he is a dictator. A dictator that tells the people that criticizes him to go and hang them selfs.
But he is not alone in this world. Idi Amin, former president in Uganda has a similar story to tell, maybe even worse. He didn't only become a dictator, but he also run the country to the ground. What was a beautiful country with a good infrastructure had become a country with big holes in the roads and no free speech.

In Iran a similar thing happened, one difference is that instead of running the country down economically, the countries wealth grew. At least the governments. Before 1979 Iran was a country led by the "shah" that means king. There grew a bigger opposition against the shah and in 1979 it broke out a revolution. The shah was thrown out and Iran became a republic.
but know in 2007 many people think it's worse then before the revolution. It is still a republic, but not all people can be president. only people recognized be a group of religious people can be a candidate. Women are also diminished far more then in the shahs time. There is much more that has become worse, but why ? The point of revolution is to get rid of the bad government and get a new and better one up. So why ?

Can the answer be power and money ?after the revolutions in Zimbabwe, Uganda and Iran with their new leaders the (Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin and Khomeini) had full or almost full control over a hole country, they had the resources to do what ever they wanted and obviously they fully, but slowly used the resources to their own advantage. More power and more money. What was to suppose to be a great nation had once again fallen to it's feet. if not economically, the rights of the people was broken.

Still revolution is a good thing. that a majority of a nation organizes to fight a common enemy is what should be done to get rid of the unwanted rulers in ones country. The result can be devastating, but the reason for the revolution is still there.
